I am very pleased to provide the following testimonial
for Selene Regan, with whom I had the pleasure
of working closely on various marketing activities, with specific
focus on lead generation, contacts database management, territory
definitions/business planning and managing specific customer campaigns.
In general, I would say that Selene is particularly
talented in the above four areas and more effective in her approach
than I have found her predecessors/equivalent personnel in other
organisations. This is largely due to her understanding of the sales
cycle, the practical issues and timeline pressures associated with
this environment, and was very focussed in delivering well qualified
leads, with very useful supporting documentation outlining decision
makers and influencers in an organisation, business drivers for
the particular initiative, relevant company background etc. Her
direct efforts resulted in a number of excellent business opportunities
for me personally, a couple of which resulted in orders.
Selene, almost entirely through her own personal
efforts, created a database internally which proved extremely useful,
more user-friendly than the corporate Onyx system, to the point
where it's use is now being extended outside the UK/EMEA region.
Following two acquisitions by Witness Systems (ie
Eyretel plc in 2003 and Blue Pumpkin in 2005), the complexities
of territory definitions/pipeline allocations, the close management
of assigned accounts and leads, the creation of standard business
planning templates etc came into sharp focus internally. Selene
was trusted by senior management to manage a lot of the allocations
and tracking of progress, which is a testimony to her professionalism,
attention to detail and knowledge of accounts. More revealing however
was her ability to get me and my colleagues to provide the level
of responsiveness and feedback required to help achieve our mutual
objectives, despite time pressures etc. In addition to a very good
working relationship with many of the Witness senior management
team and the sales team, Selene's interaction with Witness business
partners and customers alike also proved very productive and rewarding.
Her professionalism, friendly but effective approach, positive attitude
and energy/dynamism are her key attributes. She also made time for
social activities with colleagues, and came up with some creative
ideas around making marketing a central focus area in the office,
which helped create a fun work environment, stimulating ideas and
general sharing of knowledge/experiences, always extremely valuable
in a pressured sales office environment.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Selene
for a position in any other company and would consider her to be
a real asset to any dynamic, goal-oriented organisation.
